Solutions for compact spaces
A closed sideboard, an open professional kitchen. All the function, zero visual intrusion.
What is a hideaway monobloc
A monobloc hideaway mini kitchen is a modular system enclosed in a single piece of furniture that, closed, looks like a minimal sideboard and opens in a few seconds to reveal a sink, hob and built-in appliances. Monolitika makes this system to measure in Italy, with two models (GROUND floor-standing, AIR wall-mounted) and two aesthetic collections (CUBE and LINE), designed for anyone living in or designing studio apartments and compact homes where a traditional kitchen would take up too much visual space.
How it works
Only 70 cm deep and 96.5 cm tall when closed (GROUND model): it fits in a hallway, against a living room wall or in a niche, with no need for a dedicated "kitchen zone".
Sink, induction hob, fridge, dishwasher and built-in oven combine in modules from 30 to 120 cm: the kitchen is sized exactly to the available wall width, even custom-made at no extra cost.
GROUND stands on the floor with a 10 cm plinth; AIR is wall-mounted and completely frees the floor, ideal when even a few centimetres of visual depth make the difference.
What's inside
Opening the damped lids reveals an anti-fingerprint HPL worktop, an integrated sink with folding telescopic mixer tap and an induction hob with up to 4 zones, also available with an integrated hood. Under the top, built-in compartments for fridge, dishwasher and oven complete the equipment: all closable again in a few seconds.
Who chooses it
Anyone living in or designing compact housing units can finally free up the kitchen wall, recovering real square metres for the living area or sleeping zone, without giving up an induction hob and a complete sink.
For short-rental hosts, a kitchen that hides away when not in use keeps the space photogenic and tidy for listings, while remaining fully functional for guests.
